Polson Clubhouse

We have been notified that a person connected to the Polson Club tested positive for Covid-19. The Club is in contact with the Lake County Health Department, who is notifying all those impacted within the Club. Potential exposure occurred Thursday and Friday, however, the person was asymptomatic during that time.

The Boys & Girls Club is committed to the health and safety of club members and staff. We are continuing to implement our Lake County Health Department approved Operational Plan, which has protocols for these situations. Cleaning procedures remain in place. We understand that this creates challenges for those impacted and are working hard to minimize the disruption for everyone. This is definitely not a situation any of us hoped to be in. Of course our hope is that this quickly resolves and we can end the summer club activities strongly.

Out of an abundance of caution due to this recent potential Covid exposure, our Board-led Safety Committee has made the decision to require wearing masks indoors at the Polson Club for the remainder of this week (until 7/23). We understand this is not the most convenient thing for any of us, but it is our hope that this effort will minimize any potential spread in the Club.

As a reminder, if your child experiences any Covid related symptoms please contact the County Health Department at 883-7288.

The Ronan Clubhouse will continue operating with the same procedures as we have utilized this summer. Masking is not required in Ronan at this time.

Please do not hesitate to contact any of our leadership team with any questions or concerns you have.
